A contemporary styled small low profile compact piano.
The Collard & Collard U110 upright piano has a small low profile compact 110cm tall traditional cabinet and a warm European style tone. Finished in Black Polyester with Chrome fittings and a split hinged top lid; the enhanced design features – from leading European design consultants – allows the full tonal expression to match that of larger pianos. The streamline design, double castors, hinges and pedals convey a contemporary style for this small low profile compact piano.
The piano features world famous German Röslau String Wire and Premium Hardwood Action Components. The action has an Extruded Aluminum Action Rail and the piano includes T-stapled premium felt hammers. There is lots of quality solid spruce used with the key-bed, keys, backposts and the soundboard is also spruce with a solid core and two additional epidermal spruce layers. There is also maple used as the bridges are made of hardwood maple laminate – which are hand notched, graphite-treated and laminated with a maple cap – and the pinblock which is made from 17 cross-ply / ply maple. The tuning pins are nickel-plated with a steel cut-thread and the frame is made from a traditional sand cast pure iron which is CNC machined and finished to full perimeter. The piano has double wheeled casters and three pedals where the middle pedal is for practice.

The Collard & Collard U122 upright piano is a professional 122cm tall traditional cabinet instrument that has been designed for pianists who demand the highest standards of tone, touch and durability for heavy professional use. Unique scaling by a European master piano designer matched with premium components and materials make the Collard & Collard U122 an exceptional instrument, ideal for home, teaching studios, performance venues and discerning pianists at all skill levels. The larger soundboard surface area produces a tone comparable to that of smaller grand pianos and the action is expertly designed to allow for an inspiring dynamic range. The solid spruce back-posts with offset placement ensure superior tone balance and tuning stability by offering enhanced support for the higher tension treble section and enabling a lower tension bass section (as seen on leading higher priced upright pianos) which results in a smooth resonant bass, a dolce singing treble and powerful warm middle section.

Our high-quality handmade English piano stools – that complement contemporary, traditional and digital pianos – are expertly crafted by our stool maker Dean, who has built our fixed leg piano stools since 1999. Each stool is beautifully crafted and completely handmade – from start to finish – in the UK. The superior build quality of our piano stools has ensured that they remain the first choice of the discerning customer who is seeking a high specification combined with exceptional value; and are solidly built to withstand the stresses and strains imposed by even the most vigorous player.
We use first grade selected wood and aim to use materials from sustainable sources wherever possible. We use the highest quality materials and fittings including strong and durable quality full ‘piano lid’ style hinges and aesthetically pleasing brassed lid stay and brassed wood screws. Our stools are strong, and we use a traditional ‘fixed leg’ design [they are dowelled, glued and screwed together and are not a ‘bolt-on leg’ design] so they do not suffer from the same problems that bolt-on leg stools suffer from through the side-to-side movement caused by the pianists playing up and down the keyboard. This is an even more important factor with duet stools.
We offer an extensive range of wood finishes, fabric colours and genuine hide; and handcraft is very much involved in the sanding, grain filling, staining and finishing of the stool.
